Masters Tournament - Golf Animation
Just in case if you may not know, The Masters Tournament is one of the four major championships in professional golf. The tournament starts for the first full week of April and is always held in the same location, Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Now golfing isn’t really my thing, the only thing I refer to golfing is Tiger Woods, and I haven’t heard about him in a while. So, I don’t know too much about the sport. I knew the tournament and that was about it. But, that didn’t stop me from making another cool animation that I want to tell more about further into the this post.
In this personal project I produced a golf animation made for the Masters Tournament sporting event. I really didn’t know where to start, but I wanted to do something a little different and add smooth transitions in the video. But, first I started by researching some golf clubs, trophies, and golfing equipment. I saw some different pictures and when I thought about all the equipment to use this is when I thought of how the video should be. So, I started sketching out a few illustrations of the clubs, golf ball, flag, and trophy.
After that I started to outline different scenes to animate each of the elements. I put some thought into understanding how the transitions between each scene should be in order to flow properly. After pondering for a moment, I figured out how to transition through the images very smooth and I began the animation.
I honestly don’t know where the color scheme came from. I didn’t put too much thought into the colors. I just remember thinking I wanted something bold and a little different. But I felt the colors fit perfectly in the video. This was a good project to work on I really enjoyed it hope you enjoy it too. I will be making more videos like this, maybe would be great for a gif. Let me know what you think about the animation!
